Music probably not for the masses
The Toxic Sloths were a SkaFunkJazzPunk band that played in the SF bay are in the late eighties/early nineties. I played guitar, sang, and sometimes screamed. We had a nasty habit of swapping instruments with each other in between songs. The Sloths released a self-titled CD that is now available at CD Baby and Amazon.com. You'll find the Toxic Sloths website here.
Tower of Johnson. Lovefunk 2000 was the reunion tour for the seminal funk band Tower of Johnson, marking their triumphant return to the stage. In 2001 the band got back together again for an uber-galactic funkalicious romp called 2001: A Funk Odyssey. My alter ego "Woodrow 'Soul Gap' Johnson" played guitar, sang, and sometimes screamed.
Soul Gap is my current SkaFunkJazzPunk project. This falls under the category of the obligatory solo project. At least it's not a rock opera. In addition to playing drums, bass, and keyboards, I play guitar, sing, and sometimes scream. These are nearly finished songs, showcased in extra-low fidelity for your listening pleasure:
Pretzel (67KB)
Happy (91KB)
New Brain (148KB)
A Soul Gap album will be released someday, but my advice is not to hold your breath. I've got a roadster to build, for crissakes.
